Interdisciplinary institute for culture, language and education fostering (CLEF) presents its grants to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Japanese language teaching of the Faculty of Japanese Linguistics and Culture

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman/ Director of CLEF / Former Vice Rector of the University of Languages and International Studies ​​- Assoc. Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy highly appreciates the history and value of the contributions in the development of Japanese language training of the Faculty of Japanese Linguistics and Culture in particular and the University of Languages and International Studies ​​in general. With 30 years of tradition in teaching Japanese, Assoc. Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy believes that the Faculty and the University will achieve more success in the future. CLEF is also willing to cooperate and support the University in related research activities.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy is the former Vice Rector of the University of Languages and International Studies (2015-2020), the former Vice Dean (2005-2007) and the former Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Language and Culture - the predecessor of the Faculty of Japanese Linguistics and Culture (2007-2015). Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy expressed her emotion and joy when she returned to the University in the preparation for the 30th Anniversary of Japanese Language Teaching.

Representative of the University and Faculty, Dr. Dao Thi Nga My - Dean of the Faculty of Japanese Linguistics and Culture sent her deep thanks to CLEF. The faculty, staff and students of the Faculty are always trying every day to inherit and promote the achievements of the previous generations. The sponsorship of CLEF will contribute to the successful celebration of the 30th anniversary of Japanese language teaching.

At the grant award ceremony, Assoc. Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy represented the Institute to give more than 30 million VND, including 20 million VND in cash and 100 books compiled or sponsored by CLEF for more than 2 recent years. Some books can be listed as: Japanese literature and the perception of Japanese literature in Vietnam, Idioms and proverbs learning in Japanese, 20 selected Vietnamese fairy tales (Vietnamese - Japanese bilingual) , Training in Japanese - Vietnamese translation skills, Ho Chi Minh's humanitarian practice, etc. It is known that in the Institute's books, there are also articles/books whose authors are the lecturers and officers of the Faculty of Japanese Linguistics and Culture.

Closing the program is the souvenir photo session. Once again, the Faculty of Japanese Linguistics and Culture in particular and the University of Languages and International Studies in general would like to thank the valuable support of the Interdisciplinary institute for culture, language and education fostering (CLEF).
The program to celebrate 30 years of teaching Japanese at ULIS - Vietnam National University will take place in two days, September 17, 18, 2022.
