Japanese cultural experience at Ban Mai School System

On the afternoon of Friday, October 31, 2025, CLEF collaborated with the school to organize an engaging and meaningful Japanese Cultural Experience Day for students at Ban Mai School.

The event not only helped students gain a deeper understanding of the culture of the “Land of the Rising Sun” but also created a fun and educational environment for them to interact, learn, and practice their language skills.

A Series of Exciting and Enriching Activities

The program began with a Japan-themed quiz featuring 20 interesting questions about topics such as national symbols, traditional clothing, currency, and Japanese cuisine. Students enthusiastically took part, answering quickly and winning attractive prizes.
Next came the Kendama challenge – a traditional Japanese game requiring dexterity and patience. The competition brought moments of tension, excitement, and loud cheers from classmates as students tried their best to master the skill.

Equally fun was the Fukuwarai game – a face puzzle often played during the Japanese New Year. The atmospherefilled with laughter as young “artists” created funny and creative faces full of surprises.

At the end of the event, the highlight of the event was the Yukata dressing contest, where students confidently showcased their charm in colorful traditional costumes, earning applause and cheers from teachers and friends.

Thanks to careful preparation by the organizers, the event left students with unforgettable memories, inspiring them to learn languages and explore world cultures.
CLEF believes that such meaningful extracurricular activities will nurture students’ love for foreign languages, broaden their horizons, and bring them closer to diverse cultures in a lively and engaging way.

A Memorable Finale and Award Ceremony of the Japanese Singing Contest for Students

On December 13, 2025, immediately following the academic workshop “Teaching and Learning Japanese in a Multilingual Environment: Current Situations and Development Directions in Vietnam,” CLEF Institute, in collaboration with the University of Languages and International Studies - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, successfully held the Final Round and Award Ceremony of the Japanese Singing Contest for Students at Vũ Đình Liên Hall. The event created a vibrant and emotionally rich artistic space, bringing together young voices passionate about the Japanese language from various educational institutions across the country.
