To implement the cooperation agreement between the two agencies and promote the cooperation relationship on culture and education between Vietnam and Japan, CLEF and Department of Culture and Society - VOV2 under the Voice of Vietnam has cooperated for a project to implement Japanese language teaching programs at many levels, serving many different audiences, from high school students to working people, especially students who are wishing to study and work in Japan
Participating in these programs, students are equipped with basic to advanced Japanese language skills, the necessary vocabulary and expressions to use Japanese in different contexts. At the same time, students are also provided with useful information and knowledge about Japan's country, people, culture, education... These are crucial preparation for opportunities to study abroad, as well as work at Japanese companies.
One of these cooperation contents is to broadcast 5 Japanese courses via Voice of Vietnam, starting with the course: "Japanese for beginners", with the content of 50 lessons, broadcast 2 articles per week, each article within 15 minutes at 10:30 and 23:15, every Monday and Tuesday on VOV2 and re-posted on VOV2.VN website, starting from Tuesday, December 1st, 2020.
The purpose of the course "Japanese for Beginners" is to equip some basic expressions commonly used in daily life that can help learners to communicate and exchange work with Japanese people. In addition, at the end of each lesson, in the culture corner, there is an introduction to some typical Japanese culture or customs. To support learners to better grasp the learned content, the team implements the course program into two phases, each phase consists of 25 lessons. After each stage, there will be a test for learners to self-assess their achievement.
The lecturers involved in compiling and teaching in the course include Associate Professor/Dr. Ngô Minh Thủy - Director of CLEF, former Vice Rector of University of Languages and International Studies- Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and lecturers of University of Languages and International Studies, including Dr.Nguyễn Thị Thanh Thủy, Dr.Nguyễn Thị Minh Vân, Master Lê Hồng Vân, Ms.Nguyễn Lam Vân, Master Trần Thị Minh Hảo.
